Curious Kiwi

Cold, windy weather the last couple of days. They say it is a blip in the otherwise predicated hot dry summer. But the wind brings with it beautiful sunsets, like this one the other night.

This is what is happening in our house at the moment. The last rainstorm we had was “the straw that broke the camel’s back” so to speak, and the little leak that we had had a few years ago sprung forth like a flood.

Our dining room and upstairs deck are being rebuilt. With luck, it won’t take too long and we’ll have a nice watertight finish when they are done. We’ll also probably take this opportunity to repaint the dining room to add a bit of style.

We’ve been having beautiful sunsets the last few days. I guess it’s the combination of northwest winds that blow the clouds about, and fairly warm days. The sun is in just the right position to put on a show.
