More Information
Between 1841 and 1843, the Plymouth Company, England, chartered six pioneer ships for transportation of immigrants to New Zealand. These immigrants came from Cornwall and Devon. The Essex was the sixth to arrive in New Plymouth. On this journey, the Essex carried 116 passengers.
I appreciate your notes on the Essex, and contacted you regarding it and the Davey family several months ago. You sent me a response with some material on Constance Davey and her husband John Harris, with the promise of more to come.
I have still not received anything more from you. Is it still coming, or have you gone out of business ?
Hopefully the latter is not the case, as your initial reply certainly whetted my appetite for more, but could you give me some clue as to when it may come, as I have received no response to the further emails I have sent you.

No sorry, I don’t have a list of passengers to Wellington. Good luck on your search!
